My Tituses were, apparently, Dutch immigrants in the early 18th century, long before the American Revolution. They settled in Rhode Island, then offshoots went up to Montgomery, New York, over to Pennsylvania and Scioto County, Ohio. In the 19th century, they traveled to Kansas and then Harrisburg, Illinois. My grandmother, Ada Titus, moved with her family to Detroit in the 1920s during the auto industry boom.
